Hi, I'm Harry Wik

I'm a passionate full-stack engineer with a focus on software. Currently, I am persuing my second year of my Master's degree within the field of machine learning at LTH, Lund University's faculty of Engineering. I have a Bachelor's degree withing Computer Science and Engineering from Chalmers University.

My journey in programming began as a kid when I realized I could save a bit of money building computers instead of buying prebuilt ones. Since I did not and still do not spend time gaming on my computers, Linux was the perfect alternative saving that extra buck not getting a Windows license. Tinkering with prebuilt, free and open-source programs was my introduction and soon I would begin writing my own software. I loved FOSS, and have spent ten years using Linux machines and five years using Linux exclusively on all my devices never looking back.

After finishing High School I did try out a few different university programmes: Psychology, Philosophy and Medicine but in the end I went with Computer Science and Engineering. One of the reasons for me ending up in CSE was that whilst persuing my medical degree I got involved in an after-hours sessions about how big data algorithms and machine learning was being applied in the field. This is cool - I thought to myself and half a year later I was enrolled in yet another program, CSE, this time again never looking back.

After all of this time engaging with software I have gone from writing simple scripts in bash and python to writing full cross-platform applications on Web, iOS and Android. I have knowledge in C, rust and assembly as well as java, go, python, SQL and Cypher.
